Les Insectes

Mugler Haute couture 1997

It was no surprise that when asked to analyze a fashion show I would choose to do a collection from The House of Mugler. My love for CAMP & Avant-garde fashion is welcomed in shows like Mugler’s 1997 collection: Les Insectes. The show features subterranean and other-worldly designs that would grasp the attention of any spectator that appreciates unconventional, wearable art. Mugler is known for his out-of-the-box design work and thinking - creating showstopping moments and Iconic looks destined to go down in History. The 1990s was a beloved time for fashion & art to flourish and Mugler spared no time creating breathtaking ensembles that would go on to prove that the 1990s flourished through Mugler’s work itself.
